This Art Deco cup and saucer set from 1930s France encapsulates the refinement of period porcelain craftsmanship. Created from thin, smooth-glazed porcelain, the set is rendered in a pastel, mint-green tone, adorned with a matte gold band circling the rim of the cup and luminous gold accenting the interior and the entirety of the ergonomic handle. The saucer echoes these colors—a central, glossy gold ring and fine gold line tracing the edge mirror the cup's restraint and geometry. The form finds expression in an almost cylindrical body with a subtly flared rim, while the proportion and minimal ornamentation root the ensemble in the language of modernism and Art Deco.
