ABOUT PRODUCTID 19267
The 'June' cup and saucer, designed by Wincenty Potacki and produced by Ćmielów in the 1960s, exemplifies thin-walled Polish porcelain in a subtle, pastel pink hue. The soft color palette is complemented by white, fan-like geometric segments and precisely applied gilt lines: these decorate both the rim and the generously proportioned, ergonomic handle. The proportions remain delicate, with a large, stable saucer (diameter 14.5 cm) and a gently flared cup (height 7.6 cm, diameter 7.6 cm), evoking modernist, Art Deco-inspired tendencies of postwar Polish design. The porcelain surface is perfectly smooth, the glaze evenly lustrous, and the gilding intact and sharply defined. The set is preserved in very good condition, showing no defects or wear; the gold detailing remains radiant, as it did in the 1960s.This cup feels like a voice from modernising Poland: pastel pink and fan motifs reflect morning light, evoking cheerful conversations over coffee and the pride of streamlined, geometric forms. The gold accents gleam, conjuring the era’s optimism and the designers’ spirited hopefulness. Though visually airy and refined, the fine porcelain contains echoes of tradition merged with a passion for crisp, minimalist lines. The June set could be paired with neutral-toned linen napkins
