ABOUT PRODUCTID 3635
This unique cup and saucer set, signed by artist Z. Szczebel and created in the 1950s/60s, exemplifies the creative New Look movement in Polish porcelain. Manufactured at the Wałbrzych Porcelain Factory and hand-decorated by the Kwiatogal Cooperative in Warsaw, the set showcases meticulous craftsmanship: the glazed porcelain body features a deep, cool gray with a satin-matte finish, contrasted by vertical white pinstripes and subtle geometric motifs in white and gold. The rim, elegantly curved handle, and base are highlighted with lustrous gold, while the saucer echoes the cup’s palette—a wide gray border with a gold line and a white center, forming a harmonious whole. The proportions are refined, with a cup that flares gently at the top and a handle shaped in the light, modernist style. The porcelain surface is smooth, with no signs of use
