This original circus poster by Bohdan Bocianowski, created in 1979, is a representative example of Polish graphic design from the late 1970s. The composition centers on a clown, depicted in a highly dynamic, foreshortened pose as if hanging from the large, yellow 'CYRK' lettering integrated into the design. Oversized, glossy yellow shoes, red-and-green striped trousers, a green hat and gloves, and a boldly outlined white face form a cohesive, geometric visual. The dominant, saturated purple background contrasts with the vivid colours of the figure and scattered red stars. The format (approximately 96 × 67 cm) follows the typical proportions of circus posters of the era. The matte finish reflects the screen-printing techniques used at the time.
