The original 'Cyrk' poster by Andrzej Klimowski, published in 1979 in Poland, is a quintessential example of the Polish School of Poster Art. The composition blends surrealism, photomontage, and subtle humor. Its central elements are two childlike clowns in pastel blue, powdery costumes adorned with yellow stars, topped with tall, white cone hats finished with green pom-poms. The clown faces, rendered in photomontage, display pale skin and expressive, slightly exaggerated features. Between the clowns stretches a thin wire, upon which a small acrobat figure balances. Dominating the center is a stylized red letter 'C' with a blue shadow, serving as both an initial and a graphic focal point.
