This Scandinavian teak daybed from the 1950s, produced by Horsens Møbelfabrik, is crafted from warm, light brown teak wood, finished with a matte Danish oil that accentuates the wood’s natural grain. The frame features soft, rounded corners and sides, creating a sense of understated minimalism typical of the period. Four tapered legs, gently splayed, support the structure and offer both visual balance and solidity. On top rests a new rectangular mattress upholstered in high-quality, cool grey fabric, subtly textured with fine woven detailing and gentle tufting that introduces depth and rhythm to the surface. The upholstery is evenly stretched and paired with a cylindrical bolster pillow in the same textile.
