ABOUT PRODUCTID 4125
This Art Nouveau decanter, produced by the Zawiercie Glassworks around 1900, is a refined example of early 20th-century Polish glass artistry. The body is crafted from gradient glass in a raspberry-pink hue that smoothly transitions into a nearly clear base. Its glossy, polished surface accentuates the depth of color and the noble simplicity of its form. The stopper is a prominent, multi-faceted sphere made of transparent crystal glass, beautifully catching and reflecting light. The short, cylindrical neck ends in a wide, flat collar, harmoniously complementing the silhouette. Measuring 15 cm in height and 5.5 cm in diameter, the decanter is preserved in excellent condition with no signs of damage or restoration; the glass surface remains smooth and clear. This vessel evokes the spirit of the Art Nouveau era: its subtle lines and softly blended glass tones recall a time when craftsmanship met a new sensitivity to light and organic form. The crystal sphere of the stopper seems to capture daylight and scatter it in fine reflections, as if the glass sought to preserve a fragment of the era when applied art offered a quiet dialogue with everyday life. The decanter would be well placed among collectible objects from the Art Nouveau and early modernist periods, paired with soft-lined porcelain or silver trays atop a classic console. It could be displayed on a dark wood shelf alongside leather-bound books, or on a light marble surface, where the raspberry hue of the glass interacts delicately with daylight. In eclectic interiors, it can be combined with clear glass vessels or minimalist ceramics, allowing its historic character and craftsmanship to stand out.
