This Biedermeier period decanter, crafted circa 1830–1840 in the Austrian Empire, is made from uranium glass, renowned for its distinctive yellow-green fluorescence under UV light. The crystal body is precisely cut in the classic style of the era: the silhouette features faceted, multi-planed surfaces with meticulously defined, symmetrical panels on the body, slender neck, and a tall, sharply faceted stopper reminiscent of an obelisk.
