This layered crystal decanter with a silver mount originates from Prussia (Germany) and dates from 1880–1920, representing the refined craftsmanship of late 19th- and early 20th-century Europe. Made from deeply cut, layered crystal, it features a vivid emerald green that transitions into clear glass at the base and within the decorative cuts. The body is rectangular with slightly faceted sides and rounded shoulders, set on a thick, star-cut base. Both the mount and stopper are crafted from 800 silver, finished with a matte, subtly aged patina; the mount is crowned in a stylized, regal form, while the stopper is topped with a spherical silver knob. The silverwork bears visible hallmarks and the initials of the silversmith, WTB. All elements appear original and authentic. The decanter is preserved in very good condition, with no visible damage or signs of restoration.This vessel speaks of an era where ornament and craftsmanship merged with modern functionality. Its deeply engraved surface catches and scatters light in a manner characteristic of Art Nouveau glasswork, while the organic, flowing floral motifs recall the aesthetic aspirations of the turn of the century.
