This glass basket, designed by Ludwik Fiedorowicz in 1982 for Huta Szkła Staszic—a branch of the renowned Ząbkowice glassworks in Dąbrowa Górnicza—is a vivid example of Polish 1980s design. Crafted from cased colored glass, the basket features a gradient transition from vibrant yellow-green at the top to deep olive at the base, with a glossy, luminous surface. Its wide, rounded body sits on a pronounced foot, while the high-arched handle is adorned with evenly spaced glass protrusions. The ruffled rim, made from semi-translucent, frosted green glass, contrasts delicately with the saturated colors beneath. All elements are seamlessly fused, showcasing skilled glassblowing craftsmanship. The original manufacturer's sticker remains intact.
