This decorative bowl from the 1950s, crafted in the spirit of mid-century modernism, is a testament to Austrian design of the era and echoes the approach of Carl Auböck. Made from copper in a warm, reddish-brown hue with a satin matte finish, the surface displays a refined patina and gentle tonal variations, revealing its artisanal origin. The construction is rooted in minimalist principles: the shallow, wide bowl is supported by three slender, bent copper rods, each ending with small black spheres that serve as subtle visual accents and provide stability. Above the vessel, a gracefully arched handle, also in copper rod and partially wrapped with black cord, introduces textural contrast and recalls the functional solutions of modernist design.
