This Murano decorative bowl, designed by Flavio Poli for Seguso in the 1960s, is a testament to the artistry of Italian sommerso glass. It features a deep cobalt blue as its primary hue, subtly transitioning into lighter blue and clear glass at the base, while gentle amber accents along the rim add warmth and complexity to the palette. The shell-inspired shape, with flowing curves and undulating edges, reflects mid-century modern aesthetics, and the balanced proportions and substantial thickness highlight the hand-blown craftsmanship. The surface is smooth, mirrored, and glossy, with only minor signs of use on the base typical for vintage pieces. There are no chips or cracks – the bowl remains in excellent condition without restoration.
