ABOUT PRODUCTID 41446
This decorative Spanish silver centerpiece, crafted in the early 20th century, exemplifies refined silversmithing and the attention to detail characteristic of its era. Resting on three spherical feet, the composition features a cloverleaf arrangement of shell-shaped dishes, each adorned with radiating grooves and undulating, naturalistic edges. At the heart of the piece, a sculptural dolphin rises with distinct scale-texture, expressive head, and a split tail, reflecting the eclectic spirit and neoclassical inspiration of the transitional period. Made from 915 silver, the surface is hallmarked with the Spanish state assay and the silversmith’s initials. The silver’s cool gloss is enhanced by a subtle, warm patina and gentle matting in the recesses, which accentuate the sculptural relief and confirm its authenticity. The object is preserved in very good condition, with no visible damage and only minimal traces of natural oxidation
