This Delft faience plate from the Netherlands dates to the 18th century and is a classic example of Dutch Baroque craftsmanship. Made of ceramic, the plate measures 22.5 cm in diameter and 4 cm in depth, with proportions characteristic of the period. Its cool white base is hand-decorated with cobalt blue floral and foliate motifs, arranged symmetrically in three clusters around the center. The blue decoration is vivid, with a semi-matte finish that reveals visible brushstrokes, while a warm yellow band along the rim offers a striking contrast to the blue and white palette. The plate is fitted with an old metal hanging mount, likely from the late 19th or early 20th century, with three metal clips securing the rim. The condition is good, showing age-related wear: chips, scratches, minor discolorations, and some glaze losses, especially near the edge—features typical for authentic antique faience.
