This large faience plate from the St. Clement manufactory, crafted in France at the end of the 19th century, exemplifies the era when provincial ceramics drew inspiration from folk motifs and rustic aesthetics. Measuring 30 cm in diameter, the plate is made of ceramic in a warm white, slightly creamy tone. Hand-painted floral decorations in deep pinks and greens, accented with subtle yellows and blues, create a central motif of stylized flowers and foliage, while a distinctive pink line highlights the gently scalloped rim. The semi-matte surface with a soft sheen underscores the traditional faience character. The form is slightly irregular, and visible brushstrokes mark the decorative work. The plate shows signs of use and age: minor chips, wear along the edge, patina, and small surface imperfections—overall preserved in good condition, with features typical for its age.
