This large decorative platter from Royal Gouda, Holland, dates to the 1950s and is crafted from matte-glazed ceramic. Measuring 36 cm in diameter and 3 cm in height, the platter features a shallow, gently sloping profile with a wide, scalloped rim. The rim is hand-painted in muted olive green and accented with a wavy lavender and white border. The central field is adorned with large, stylized flowers in yellow, blue, and orange, complemented by brown and green leaves and scattered brown accents. Each motif is outlined in black, lending the composition a bold, graphic quality characteristic of mid-century Dutch ceramics.
