This freestanding desk, designed by Arne Vodder for Danish maker GV Møbler in the 1960s, exemplifies the clarity and balance of mid-century modern design. The piece is crafted from oak veneer in a light, honey-toned finish with pronounced straight grain, while the floating rectangular tabletop is clad in matte cream Formica with solid oak edges. Four subtly tapered, turned solid oak legs support the structure, lending visual lightness and a distinct Scandinavian character. On the right side, three spacious drawers with sculpted, integrated oak handles reveal dovetail joinery inside; on the left, a single-door storage cabinet echoes the same handle detail. The surfaces are finely finished—wood with a gentle satin sheen, the Formica top smooth and matte. All elements remain authentic, and the desk is in restored, very good condition, free from visible damage or heavy wear, a testament to careful refurbishment and preservation. The desk’s
