This oak desk, designed by Henning Kjærnulf in the 1960s, exemplifies Danish craftsmanship where function meets decorative imagination. With proportions of 150 × 79.5 × 75 cm, the piece is constructed from oak veneer, complemented by solid wood legs in a warm, honey tone with a subtle golden hue. The six front drawers are adorned with hand-carved geometric and floral motifs, each finished with round brass ring pulls and visible keyholes. On the reverse side, a bar compartment with a shelf and two spacious niches enhance the desk’s practical dimension. The turned and sculpted legs, along with the scalloped apron, reference neo-baroque traditions, while the precise joinery and matte-to-satin finish underscore the quality of execution. Condition is good: the surface has been refreshed, minor scratches and filled veneer losses are present, but the desk is ready for immediate use.This desk
