This executive desk, designed by Jens Risom in the 1960s and produced by Jens Risom Design, exemplifies the craftsmanship of American mid-century modernism. Made from solid walnut with a warm brown tone and a subtle reddish hue, it features a satin-matte finish that highlights the natural wood grain. The desk's form is symmetrical and rectangular, with clean, straight lines typical of the period. Two integrated drawer modules – two drawers on the left, three on the right (the top right drawer with a lock) – provide ample storage. The sculpted, organically curved handles are crafted from the same wood, while the slender, slightly rounded legs add lightness and elegance. Only minimal metal elements are visible at the locks. The desk has been meticulously restored: stripped, stained in an oak tone, and finished with high-quality Danish oil, preserving the authenticity of the original design. Condition: restored, with no visible damage or signs of wear.
