This freestanding desk from the 1950s, crafted in Germany, represents the mid-century modern movement. The construction features high-quality walnut veneer with pronounced vertical grain, complemented by slightly lighter solid wood legs and edges. The desk is equipped with two side cabinets with doors, a central drawer finished in contrasting matte black Formica, two internal drawers, and a rear book compartment. Its gently splayed, tapered legs provide visual lightness and emphasize geometric simplicity. Small, round chrome-plated knobs and precisely joined elements reflect the care typical of German craftsmanship from the mid-20th century. Condition: restored, with surfaces and visible components free of heavy wear, preserved in very good condition.
