This desk, designed by Kai Kristiansen for Feldballes Møbelfabrik, exemplifies Danish modernism of the 1960s. Measuring 151 cm wide, 79 cm deep, and 73 cm high, the piece is crafted from rosewood with pronounced, dark grain patterns. The construction rests on four slender, round legs. On the right, a module with three drawers features sculpted wooden handles in a deeper tone and a lock in the top drawer; on the left, a deep file drawer with a matching handle and lock. The front is equipped with open shelves for books, while the rectangular top—with softly rounded edges and subtly beveled corners—gives the whole an understated, timeless silhouette. All elements are original, and the absence of visible screws or hardware highlights the precision of the craftsmanship. The desk has been professionally restored: the rosewood surface is smooth, finished with a semi-matte lacquer, free from visible damage or signs of wear.
