ABOUT PRODUCTID 9365
The freestanding Diplomat FD-951 desk was designed by Finn Juhl for France and Son in Denmark in the early 1960s. Crafted from rosewood with a rich, deep brown hue and subtle reddish undertones, the desk features a high-gloss lacquer finish that accentuates the natural wood grain. The construction rests on four slender, straight legs, lending a sense of lightness to the overall silhouette. At each side, modules with two drawers are fitted with round, polished metal handles. The drawer fronts display a horizontal grain, set in contrast with the vertical pattern of the legs and frame. Functionality is further enhanced by pull-out writing surfaces topped with black glass, offering a practical and refined workspace. The entire piece is marked by precise craftsmanship, simple lines, and restrained detailing, all hallmarks of Scandinavian modernism. The desk has undergone comprehensive restoration—wood surfaces have been cleaned and refinished, and all metal elements polished. Condition: restored, with no visible signs
