This authentic Art Nouveau desk lamp from Sweden, dating to circa 1910, is crafted from polished brass in a warm, golden hue. The stepped base, weighted with a steel insert, ensures stability, while a gracefully curved arm—mounted on a decorative joint—rises to meet the conical, tiered shade. Four colored glass cabochons in red, green, blue, and black are symmetrically set around the shade, providing a striking ornamental accent typical of the Secessionist style. The lamp features a ceramic socket ring, an integrated rotary switch, and a twisted black fabric cord in keeping with early 20th-century aesthetics. The electrical installation has been fully updated and remains in working order. The lamp is compatible with contemporary E27 screw-in bulbs. Preserved in very good condition, it exhibits no structural damage, with only gentle patina and minor surface wear reflecting its age. This lamp distinctly echoes the voice of late Art Nouveau—a period when function and ornament merged in organic unity.
