This Swedish Art Nouveau desk lamp from the early 20th century embodies the organic elegance of Scandinavian modernism, crafted from highly polished, golden brass with a mirror-like, lustrous finish. Its construction features a gracefully arched, slender arm jointed to a substantial, asymmetrical base weighted with steel for stability on smaller surfaces. The hemispherical shade, characteristic of early modernist design, is adorned with three glass cabochons in blue, amber, and green, placed equidistantly around the rim. Visible, finely crafted joints, a spherical pivot at the base of the arm, and a period-appropriate ceramic rotary switch near the socket emphasize the artisanal quality of the era. The lamp is equipped with updated wiring and is compatible with modern large-socket bulbs.
