This 1960s desk lamp, produced by Zaos Lighting Equipment Plant in Wilkasy, Poland, is an authentic example of Polish industrial design from the PRL era, where functionality meets the minimalist clarity of mid-century modern aesthetics. The lamp features a large, dome-shaped shade and a stable, round base – both finished in a cool, speckled sage green with a matte, subtly textured surface. The nickel-plated metal arm forms a gentle arc, linking the base and shade with a geometric precision typical of the period. The switch is a discreet, black cylindrical button mounted on the base. Visible screws secure the shade and arm, emphasizing the lamp's honest construction. Its proportions – a wide 32 cm shade, 37 cm length, and 34 cm height – offer generous, even light distribution across the workspace.
