ABOUT PRODUCTID 14676
This compact desk lamp, designed by Josef Hurka for Napako in 1960s Czechoslovakia, exemplifies authentic mid-century modern style. The lamp features a warm, ivory-white body with a slightly satin, semi-matte finish that extends over both the cylindrical shade and the horizontal tubular base. The shade and base are joined by a chromed metal arm, visibly marked by natural aging and occasional loss of shine; areas of patina and matte spots reflect genuine vintage character for chrome of this era. The arm’s surface is smooth but subtly textured by time, while the painted elements remain uniform, forming a coherent whole. The lampshade’s flared, geometric termination not only ensures broader light diffusion but also introduces distinctive sculptural presence. Mechanical joints are clearly visible where the adjustable axis meets the shade, allowing for personalized angling of the light. The lamp is fitted with a new electrical system and accommodates a single E27 bulb up to 60W. Measuring 29 × 14 ×
