The multifunctional 'Spring' desk accessory was designed by Franciszek Kalfas and produced by the Ćmielów Porcelain Factory between 1942 and 1944. Serving as a business card holder, ashtray, and organizer for small office items, this piece is crafted from white, glazed porcelain with a cool, crisp hue and a highly polished surface. Its centerpiece is a sculptural scene: a delicately modeled female figure sits gracefully atop a stylized arched bridge entwined with vines and floral motifs, while three shallow compartments evoke the impression of a pool below. The composition is rooted in the Art Deco tradition, evidenced by flowing lines, stylized botanical forms, and harmonious proportions. The underside bears the original 'Unikat' signature from the Ćmielów manufactory. The object is preserved in very good condition, free from visible signs of wear or restoration, with all original details intact.This porcelain miniature carries the quiet voice of the 1940s—a time when everyday objects, even in difficult circumstances, could embody a sense of lightness and hope.
