ABOUT PRODUCTID 32309
This dessert glass bowl from the Ząbkowice Glassworks, produced in the 1970s, exemplifies pressed glasswork with a distinctly decorative character. Made from clear glass with a cool, slightly bluish undertone, the bowl is richly adorned with embossed floral and scroll motifs referencing the retro baroque revival popular in postwar Poland. The scalloped rim, wide stable foot, and short, robust stem are all embellished with tactile decorative elements. The glass has a glossy finish, which enhances the depth of the relief and highlights the balanced proportions (height 11.5 cm, diameter 11 cm). The bowl is preserved in very good vintage condition, free from chips or cracks, with all original elements present. The form of this bowl recalls the spirit of the 1970s, when Polish homes welcomed tableware that combined craftsmanship with decorative flair. The deeply embossed motifs catch and refract the light, producing a shimmering effect—turning every dessert or piece of fruit into a small, everyday celebration. The pronounced texture and substantial weight evoke the convivial tables of the past, while the baroque-inspired details nod to traditional elegance reimagined for a modern era. This bowl can be paired with other period glassware to create a cohesive set for serving desserts, ice cream, or snacks at home gatherings. It also works as a standout accent on a white tablecloth or amidst simpler ceramics, where its sculptural surface becomes even more expressive. Perfect for vintage, eclectic, or retro-inspired interiors, it can also serve as an unconventional container for small items on a coffee table or dressing table. The listed price applies to one piece.
