ABOUT PRODUCTID 37376
This educational laboratory model from the 1960s and 1970s exemplifies utilitarian technical design from Poland, originally created for use in school and university physics laboratories. The robust construction features a horseshoe-shaped magnet finished in a vivid red lacquer, set on a heavy, matte dark brown bakelite base. An L-shaped metal stand, with a matte patinated surface and a screw clamp for precise positioning, completes the ensemble. The base retains original blue painted markings and a gold manufacturer's emblem, highlighting its authenticity and historical provenance. Visible signs of use include surface scratches and discoloration on the bakelite, as well as light patina and minor corrosion on the steel elements—traces characteristic of mid-20th-century laboratory equipment. The apparatus remains complete and structurally sound. Preserved in very good condition, with signs of normal use and an attractive patina. This model echoes the story of Polish schools and laboratories in the 1960s, when science and technology became accessible to new generations. Its functional, geometric form, the honest use of materials, and the visible marks of experimentation evoke an era when such objects served as tools of discovery, not mere decorations. The red magnet, with its worn lacquer edges, seems to recount countless demonstrations, while the bakelite base bears the touch of many hands. Within this modest form lies a narrative of curiosity, scientific passion, and the pragmatic aesthetic of the mid-century educational workshop.Today, this model can be used as a decorative accent in a study, library, or the interior of a collector's cabinet. It would harmonize well with industrial-style furnishings, shelves filled with books, and vintage educational charts, or
