Model 54, designed by Gunni Omann in 1959 for the Danish manufacturer Omann Jun, is a quintessential example of 1960s Danish modernism. Crafted from richly grained rosewood in a warm brown tone, the table is distinguished by its expressive, organic grain pattern and a semi-matte finish that catches light softly without excessive gloss. The tabletop features sturdy, reinforced edges and subtly rounded corners — a testament to meticulous craftsmanship. Slightly tapered, rounded legs connect to the frame with invisible joinery, emphasizing both the purity of form and stability of construction. The table’s extendable design uses two integrated leaves (each 54 cm), adjusting smoothly to accommodate a range of gatherings; at full extension, it reaches an impressive width of 254 cm.
