ABOUT PRODUCTID 27332
The Nomos Dining Table, designed by Norman Foster for Tecno in 1987, stands as an icon of late 20th-century Italian design and the high-tech movement. This example from the 1990s remains true to the designer’s original intent. The tabletop is a large, round plate of tempered glass with a subtle cool blue-grey tint, resting on four visible circular mounts that create a geometric accent beneath the surface. The base consists of four highly polished, chrome-plated metal legs, splaying outward and ending in flat, round metal feet with exposed bolts and technical detailing. The construction fuses precision manufacturing with the raw clarity of materials—soda-lime glass and chrome—while the proportions and finish highlight the table’s architectural presence. The table is in very good condition, with only minor signs of use visible on the glass. The Nomos table speaks of an era when technology and transparency became new aesthetic values. The glass—smooth, cool, almost ethereal—reflects light like a water surface, while the chrome legs recall the vocabulary of late-1980s and early-1990s office architecture. Every detail—from geometric mounts to the industrial logic
