ABOUT PRODUCTID 30705
This highboard or display cabinet from Czechoslovakia, dating to the 1970s, is a classic example of mid-century modern design as seen in Eastern European interiors of the era. The construction is based on veneered board and plywood, highlighted by a warm, honey-toned oak wood grain with a matte or semi-matte finish. The piece is proportionally balanced, with geometric lines accentuated by details such as metal round drawer knobs and cylindrical, tapered legs with black plastic tips. The cabinet remains in very good condition, with only minor signs of use typical for the 1970s—no major damage; surfaces are clean, odor-free, and the sliding mechanisms operate smoothly. This cabinet speaks in the quiet, practical language of its era, when comfort and simplicity were valued alongside thoughtful material choices. It recalls a time when a home library or porcelain collection found
