ABOUT PRODUCTID 9380
This dressing table, designed by Ib Kofod-Larsen for G-Plan in the 1960s, is a fine example of British mid-century modern with clear Scandinavian inspiration. The body is crafted from teak veneer with a vivid, organic wood grain in a warm, medium-brown tone, finished with a semi-matte lacquer. On each side, two cabinets feature drawers with rectangular rosewood handles, providing a striking contrast to the lighter teak. The piece is in restored condition, with no signs of wear, damage, or visible repairs. The form of this dressing table tells the story of the 1960s—a period when British design embraced Scandinavian-inspired simplicity and function. The teak surfaces, alive with natural grain, evoke a sense of domestic ritual, while the recessed central section plays gently with space and lightness. Rosewood handles act as visual accents, drawing the eye along the lines of the drawers, and the mirror becomes a daily companion, reflecting the quiet rhythm of morning routines. The piece seems to whisper of an era that valued craft and understated elegance, offering a harmonious balance of form and
