The 'Azure Modernism' drinkware set was created in the 1970s, designed by Szewłod Sarnacki for Krośnieńskie Huty Szkła, at the time one of Poland’s leading centers of utilitarian design. The set comprises a slender pitcher (24 cm high) and six cylindrical glasses (14 cm high), all crafted from solid-colored glass in an intense, cool-toned azure blue. Every piece was hand-formed, which is evident in the subtle gradient effect: the glass is darker and more saturated at the base and gradually becomes lighter and more translucent towards the rim. The pitcher features a fluidly shaped handle and a distinct spout, while the glasses maintain a minimalist profile with softly rounded bases echoing the pitcher’s silhouette. The glossy finish and smooth, seamless texture emphasize the quality of the craftsmanship, with no visible joints or additional decoration.
