ABOUT PRODUCTID 19903
This sugar bowl, produced by Norblin in Poland in the second half of the 19th century, exemplifies the eclectic design of the era’s tableware. Crafted from brass and finished with a silver-plated surface, it displays a cool, gently patinated silver tone with a matte to semi-gloss sheen. The surface features visible patina and areas of darkening, especially along the edges and decorative details. The rectangular form with softly rounded corners stands on four ornate cast feet, adorned with vegetal motifs and spiral flourishes. The stepped and domed lid is highlighted by a central engraved ornament, while the keyhole escutcheon is framed by florid engraving. Both lid and body are decorated with engraved foliated and floral patterns typical of the eclectic trend, blending historicist and ornamental elements. The construction is robust, with visible seams and well-balanced proportions indicating meticulous craftsmanship. The interior of the sugar bowl is gilded. The condition is good for its age
