This Austrian elliptical ashtray from the 1950s, attributed to Franz Hagenauer, exemplifies mid-century modern design. Crafted entirely of brass, the ashtray features an elongated, oval silhouette with organically undulating edges that enhance its sculptural presence. The surface displays a deep, mottled forest green patina characteristic of aged brass, showing a range of darker and lighter tones interwoven with exposed brass highlights, especially toward the center. The rim and two bold accent tabs at either end are in contrasting bright golden brass with a soft satin-matte finish
