This elliptical platter, created in the Plewkiewicz workshops in Warsaw at the turn of the 20th century, exemplifies craftsmanship that combines silver-plated brass with refined decorative technique. The main surface displays a warm, subtly muted silver tone with a gentle golden undertone, the result of both the plating and natural patina developed over time. At its center, a delicate guilloche pattern lends a sophisticated geometric texture, while the edge is adorned with a regular beaded border. The two large, openwork handles are embellished with stylized plant motifs and subtle neoclassical details characteristic of the era, and the symmetrical form is anchored by a broad, slightly raised foot for stability. The underside bears the mark of the Plewkiewicz manufactory. The surface shows a uniform patina with minor signs of use and gentle wear, but no significant damage or restoration is visible.
