ABOUT PRODUCTID 16630
This emerald green crystal vase, produced by the Józefina Glassworks in 1942, is a distinct example of craftsmanship at the intersection of early modernism and Art Deco. Designed by Siegfried Haertel, the vase adopts a geometric hexagonal form with vertically faceted planes, imparting a strong architectural quality. Crafted from high-lead crystal, it displays a deep, saturated green hue—subtly shifting in intensity from the richly colored, faceted base to the lighter, slightly more transparent upper section. The top gently flares into a broad circular lip, edged with a precise black accent. An encircling band of electroplated silver decorates the shoulder of the vase, presenting a delicate plant-inspired motif reminiscent of the Viennese Workshops' Secession style. The silver appliqué stands in clear contrast to the dark green crystal, executed with notable precision and restraint. The vase is preserved in excellent condition—no chips, scratches, or repairs are visible, and both the crystal and silverwork have retained their original luster.
