This extendable dining table, designed by Bohumil Landsman and Hubert Nepozitek for Jitona Soběslav in Czechoslovakia during the 1960s, is crafted from beech wood and walnut veneer. The tabletop features a warm, medium walnut tone with a pronounced natural grain, accentuated by a semi-matte finish. The rectangular top, softly rounded at the edges, rests on slender, subtly tapered legs set at an angle — a design rooted in mid-century modern principles: restrained in detail, focused on proportion and function. The construction reveals no visible hardware, highlighting the purity of the form, while the whole retains a clear silhouette and visual lightness despite the extendable nature, allowing the table to reach up to 170 cm in width. The piece has undergone comprehensive cabinetmaker restoration; the surface has been cleaned, stained, and finished with a strong semi-matte lacquer.
