ABOUT PRODUCTID 2606
This multifunctional table from the 1950s, crafted in the rockabilly style with strong mid-century modern influences, exemplifies the French approach to postwar design. The rectangular top features rounded corners and is finished with glossy black glass, creating a mirror-like, reflective effect. Its broad golden-beige edge forms a striking contrast with the dark surface. The structure is supported by substantial, U-shaped legs made of warmly toned reddish-brown wood, adorned with precise golden inlays that echo the tabletop’s border. A horizontal stretcher connects the legs, ensuring stability, while the table’s proportions convey visual lightness despite its solid build. The mechanism allows for the tabletop to be extended sideways and the height to be adjusted stepwise from 60 to 74 cm, enabling the table to serve as either a coffee table or a dining table. The surfaces are smooth, showcasing the natural grain of the wood, with all details reflecting precise craftsmanship. Condition: good, with minor scratches on the glass top typical for items of this age. The design
