This fan-shaped photo frame for two pictures, dating from the late 19th century, is an example of French Art Nouveau craftsmanship, where precise construction meets the decorative spirit of its era. The structure is built from gilded brass, combining matte and glossy finishes that create an interplay of light over the warm, subtly patinated gold. Symmetrical scrollwork on the sides, a twisted central stem capped with a spherical finial, and a detailed floral motif at the base all evoke the organic ornamentation of Art Nouveau, inspired by nature and soft lines.
