The "Bean" vase is a representative example of pressed glass produced by HSG Ząbkowice in 1970s Poland. It features a tall, organic silhouette with a cross-section inspired by the gentle curvature of a bean, formed from thick, uniformly vivid, warm red glass. Its slender profile narrows towards the top and is finished with a softly modulated, slightly asymmetrical rim—an echo of mid-century modern design’s affinity for organic shapes. The glossy, even surface has a reflective sheen that accentuates the vibrancy of the color, free from extraneous patterns or ornament. The weighty, substantial glass at the base illustrates careful craftsmanship. A partially preserved original manufacturer’s sticker remains on the neck, testifying to the authenticity of origin. Condition is very good—no chips, cracks, or major signs of wear, only minor production marks at the base inherent to hand-shaped glass.In its form, the vase speaks the quiet language of the 1970s, when Polish glassmaking balanced experiment and restraint, seeking expression through color and organic contour.
