The porcelain figurine of a 'Japanese bird', produced around 1960 by the Steatyt manufactory in Katowice, is an example of mid-20th-century European craftsmanship with a notable Art Deco influence. The stylized bird is perched on a glossy white spherical base, adorned with delicate gold-outlined star motifs. The bird’s body features a vibrant, multicolored palette: from a bright yellow breast and belly, through a greenish-blue head and blue-violet wing accents, to a striking red tail fading subtly into orange. The beak and legs are painted in a dark brown, almost black hue. Gold-painted decorative lines and a highly glazed surface enhance the depth of color and reflect light. The figurine measures 13.5 cm in height, 9.5 cm in length, and 7 cm in width.
