ABOUT PRODUCTID 41602
This vintage glass fish figurine presents an elongated, streamlined form with a dynamic, upward-curving tail. The body is rendered in a milky, semi-translucent white, accentuated by vibrant orange and deep purple spots that create a striking, mottled pattern along its length. The glossy, polished finish enhances the glass’s luminosity, while the fins, tail, and eyes, crafted from clear glass, introduce a sense of delicacy and highlight the artisan’s skill. Smooth transitions connect the body and fins, forming a cohesive structure with slender, elegant proportions. The design evokes the mid-century modern Murano aesthetic, characterized by organic, flowing lines and a stylized, abstract interpretation of aquatic life. The condition is good, with minor imperfections near the opening—typical for handcrafted vintage pieces. This fish carries the spirit of modernism, where organic forms and the play of light were central values. Its silhouette seems to capture the motion of a leap above the water’s surface, blending milky and transparent areas with vivid color bursts to create a sense of both energy and tranquility. The piece reflects a time when everyday objects were intended to spark imagination, offering an escape from routine, and glass was celebrated as a medium for artistic exploration. It stands as a small narrative of an era when color and light were as important as form.Such an object can be paired with refined, smooth surfaces—such as a marble console or dark wood—to highlight the brilliance of the glass and its colorful contrasts. It works well in a mid-century modern collector’s interior or an eclectic space where a single accent piece claims the spotlight. The fish may be placed on
