This glass sculpture, shaped as a stylized fish, is a design by Josef Rozinek and Stanislav Honzik, executed by the Exbor glassworks in Novy Bor at the end of the 1950s. Crafted from substantial crystal glass using a sun-shading gradient technique, hot-forming, and precise grinding, the piece features a color transition from warm amber-brown through olive green to pale yellow and clear glass. The most intense colors appear at the dorsal area and tail, blending into more transparent, greenish hues at the belly and head. Its surface is highly polished and glossy, emphasizing the smooth, organic lines of the body and the sharply defined, geometric tail fin. Inside, a single air bubble adds depth, while the heavy, thick glass conveys a sense of solidity. The absence of visible seams or joints attests to the high level of craftsmanship.
