This fish serving spatula, dating from 1914-1939, is an example of Warsaw tableware craftsmanship, most likely associated with the renowned J. Fraget manufactory. Crafted from base metal, silver-plated, it features a cool silvery tone with subtle, aged patina and a matte-satin finish. The spatula, measuring approximately 29.5 cm in length and 7 cm in width, is intricately pierced and shaped to resemble a stylized carp, with precise guilloché engraving that mimics fish scales and fins. The handle is richly decorated with botanical motifs and symmetrical relief, referencing late historicist and early Art Nouveau styles typical of early 20th-century European silverware. A solid construction with a robust, visible collar joins the handle and blade. The condition is very good, with minor, even traces of use consistent with age, and no visible damage or restoration.
