This fish serving spoon, produced by the Fraget workshop in Warsaw during the 1930s, is a testament to the craftsmanship of interwar Polish silver- and gold-plated tableware. The design is based on a sophisticated interplay of contrasts: the wide, flat bowl is finished in warm, matte gold, while the handle features a cool, satin silver plating. The sharp transition between the two finishes highlights the attention to decorative detail. The slender handle gently tapers towards the bowl, which is adorned with fan-shaped openwork cutouts—both decorative and practical, as they facilitate serving fish. The handle is embellished with rocaille motifs and rich floral scrolls typical of the Neo-Rococo style, executed in pronounced relief. The underside bears the original 'Fraget Warszawa' mark.
