This floor lamp, designed by Apolinary Gałecki (model 1225), is a classic example of Polish industrial modernism from the 1960s, produced by Stołeczne Zakłady Metalowe Nr 2 in Warsaw. The lamp features a slender, matte black metal stand paired with a contrasting, flat white base. The original lampshade frame, crafted from raw, silver-toned steel, currently lacks its fabric cover, imparting a skeletal, open appearance. The bulb holder and visible wiring are finished in a light beige tone. The steel surface displays subtle patina and minor discolorations, while the base shows typical signs of use such as scratches. The lamp offers three-position height adjustment for the shade frame. The switch and plug have been replaced; all other elements retain their period authenticity. The structure remains intact and stable. Preserved in very good condition, the lamp shows only age-consistent marks of use. This lamp carries the voice of the 1960s, when functionality and simplicity responded to the practical needs of everyday life during the PRL era.
