This floor lamp by Doria Leuchten, crafted in Germany during the 1960s, offers a poised fusion of mid-century modern classicism and bold, contemporary artistry. The slender base is made from matte, opal white glass with a softly flared, organic silhouette, anchored by a circular ring in brass or brass-colored metal. The surface of the base is seamless and unadorned, highlighting the clean, flowing lines typical of the era. The lamp’s most striking feature is its new, custom-made cylindrical lampshade, executed in synthetic fabric with a vivid graphic pattern inspired by citrus slices. Dominant hues of orange, yellow, and black interplay on a white background, enveloped by a matte finish and a tightly stretched, fresh-looking fabric. The lamp is equipped with a round, white foot switch and offers three lighting modes: illuminating the base only, the shade only, or both sections together.
