ABOUT PRODUCTID 11708
The ULUV floor lamp from the 1960s embodies the spirit of Czechoslovak modernism, blending bold geometric proportions with a subtle interplay of materials. Its cylindrical shade, crafted from thick, opaline white glass by the Valasske Mezirici glassworks, features a satin-matte surface that diffuses light to create an even, gentle glow. The base, faithfully recreated in contemporary times from American walnut, displays a warm brown hue and a distinct wood grain, protected by a matte oil finish. The slender, three-legged frame lends the lamp a sense of lightness and stability, with precise joinery that highlights the quality of craftsmanship. A minimalist black Bakelite floor switch, designed by Achille Castiglioni, offers a harmonious finishing touch. The electrical installation combines original and new components, professionally restored to meet modern safety standards. The lamp is in excellent restored condition—showing no signs of wear, damage, or patina. All elements, including the recreated base, remain true to the original design of the 1960s.This lamp tells the story of an era when simplicity and functionality were harmonized with
